What is a Celebrant?
First let me start with; Babs isn't just any old Celebrant. She's cool, she's quirky and has epic taste in music.

That aside, not enough people know what their options are when getting married. 99% of the couples we talk to when booking have all never heard of it.
​
The long and short is when you get married you have someone do the talking bit for you; 'Do you; yada yada, etc'. You have two choices; go to the council and have them do it; they will follow one of 3 set scripts and is the same for the thousands of couples they marry. Or, option 2; have a celebrant led wedding. They will personalize that ceremony and make it so unique to you you couldn't have written it better yourself.

Legal?
Important to note; when a celebrant does it, it isn't legal, so you still have to go to the council and do a mini session to do the legal bits. Now I know what you're thinking! Because I did too. Won't it lose the special feeling from the wedding day itself because you're essentially already married? I'll explain how I had it explained to me; when a child is born, you don't celebrate the day you went to get their name registered, your celebrate the day they were born, not the legal stuff.

Not enough to convince you? I know, when Simon was making doe eyes and getting all emotional over the legal bits, no matter how much I told him to stop it I was worried I just wouldn't FEEL it as much at the wedding. Well now I can tell you first hand; you do. Something very special and magical happens on a wedding day and with SUCH a personal and perfect to you ceremony, with all your friends and loved ones there; there is no feeling like it... Actually there is; when you first fall in love!
The Closer
OK so you're sold on the idea so here's the closer... Price wise (of course depending on who you go to) but certainly for Babs and KCC; price works out about the same.

You will be flabbergasted at how well written that ceremony is! Through clever questions and really getting to know you as a couple you will have your ultimate love story! And it doesn't stop there, forget the done thing, have it your way; sign an actual record, tie an actual knot, jump over broomsticks, fast hands! Whatever makes you; you.

Our Own Personal Review
Babs took the time to really get to know us, and I was blown away with how well the ceremony told the story of us, but as well as that there were just so many things that made the ceremony so special.
​
A service absolutely brimming with keepsakes; vows on beautifully presented cards, no boring scrap of paper with our signatures on for us, we get it 'on the record'. Along with our rope that we tied the knot with and our full ceremony script in a beautifully presented gift box, made what Babs does; truly extra special.
​
She got to know who was important to us and made them feel so special our guests even commented on how wonderful she was. Plus little things that only she and us knew about like the presence of a little Robin, which meant more to me that I can ever say.
​
We cannot thank Babs enough for all of her hard work and dedication in giving us the ceremony of our dreams and setting the tone for what our guests have said was the best and most personal wedding they have ever been to... not to brag! lol
